The product has a low weight, which is equal to 118 grams, and a length of 23.1 centimetres when opened. The small dimensions of the product allow you to always carry the knife with you, and high-quality materials have good strength and unpretentiousness in care, thanks to which the model retains its original appearance for a long time.

The basis of the knife is a blade made of 8Cr13MoV steel. It is a high-carbon steel that is highly resistant to corrosion and does not darken with prolonged contact with moisture. The composition of steel is as follows: carbon — 0.8%, chromium — 13%, manganese — 0.4%, silicon — 0.5%, nickel — 0.2%, molybdenum — 0.15%, phosphorus — 0.02% and vanadium — 0.1%. Due to the high content of chromium and the presence of silicon in the composition, the likelihood of chips and deformations when performing complex work is excluded. Other elements are responsible for the wear resistance of the blade, strength and immunity to chemical environments, which makes it possible to use the knife in any conditions.

The blade of the knife has good cutting properties, and the butt has a thickness of 3.1 millimeters - this is the most optimal width that allows you to work with materials of different hardness: the blade allows you to easily cut food at home and sharpen wooden stakes while fishing. The hardness of the blade is 57-59 HRC. The blade is easy to sharpen with simple sharpening stones, while keeping the sharpness of the cutting edge for a long time, even under intense loads.

The blade has a matte finish, thanks to the finishing of the tool using the Stonewash method. The coating performs several functions at once: it gives the product an attractive appearance, hiding small scratches and abrasions that appear over time on the surface of the blade, and at the same time additionally strengthens the steel.

The Liner Lock is responsible for the safety of the Ruike D198-PD knife. This is one of the most reliable mechanisms that ensures reliable fixation of the blade in the open position and allows you to open and close the blade with one hand. It doesn't take much effort to close the knife after use — just press your thumb on the small plate of the liner.
