Background: STEAP is unique among the currently known prostate cancer markers because of its putative secondary structure, from which one may predict that it functions as a potential channel protein. STEAP is strongly expressed in advanced prostate cancer and some extent expression in other cancers, such as colon and ovarian cancer cell lines.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
