This hand decorated Tuareg design, silver and Onyx necklace, is a traditional Moroccan vintage piece of Jewellery. The silver shield has been engraved with symbols representing the Sahara desert. The beads of this necklace are a combination of Onyx and vintage silver.  

The Tuareg people were known as the crafts people of North Africa, who produced the arms for warriors; the tools for agriculture and created striking Jewellery such as this piece, for adornment. 

There is some wear evident on the Onyx, relative to the age of this attractive vintage piece of traditional Moroccan tribal Jewellery.
