The BC1406A Tektro Hydraulic Disc Brake RTrekking/Recreational is a hydraulic disc brake system that offers simple installation, adjustment, and maintenance. The system has an open, dual-piston design and is supplied without a brake rotor. The lever is made of aluminum and has a cast aluminum bracket. The reach is adjustable, and the bracket is made from a single piece. The lever is designed for 3-finger operation and has a black finish. The caliper has a forged aluminum body and offers automatic caliper positioning via front and rear adapters. The caliper also has a black finish. The brake pads are made of a metal-ceramic composite and are easy to replace. The system uses a liquid, non-corrosive mineral oil and has excellent heat expansion properties.
