Reduced water usage
The upper is made from breathable recycled mesh material. The yarn used in the upper is dyed using a dope dyeing process, which reduces water usage by up to 90% compared to conventional methods. This technique is widely adopted across other On footwear as well.

The side structure wraps the foot for a secure fit, while the star-shaped lacing system helps minimize foot movement and enhances lateral stability.





CloudTec
On running shoes feature the brand’s proprietary “CloudTec” technology.



Multiple hollow “Cloud” elements are arranged in the sole, each compressing individually to enhance cushioning.

In the Cloud X 4, these Cloud elements are made from “Helion SF,” a proprietary material that maintains structure without fully collapsing, offering both responsive rebound and superior cushioning.

The sole is equipped with an X-shaped plate known as the “Speedboard.” By incorporating nylon into the structure, it allows the forefoot to flex naturally while guiding the foot into an optimal push-off position at landing, supporting an efficient running form.
