Blue refabric
Rooted in Japan’s high-quality textiles and a commitment to precise craftsmanship. Originally produced for many years as a ROCOCO exclusive line for JAPAN BLUE JEANS, the brand restarts in 2026 under the name “Blue refabric.”
Production is centered around partner factories of JAPAN BLUE JEANS. “Blue refabric” is a coined term combining “Blue”—representing Japanese denim—and “Refabric,” a blend of “Republic” and “Fabric.” Inspired by the idea of a “Blue Republic,” the brand honors Japan’s rich textile culture while offering garments that quietly elevate the individuality of the wearer.
Crafted primarily from premium denim sourced in Okayama, each piece is carefully made in trusted factories across Japan. The designs pursue a balance of minimalism and strength, bringing out the natural character and texture of the fabric. From the “nation of textiles, Japan” to the world, Blue refabric presents a new standard shaped by respect for Japanese craftsmanship.

A Lived-In Texture, Refined Over Time
This garment uses “back satin” fabric, originally featured in U.S. military combat uniforms in the mid-1950s. The cotton is treated with sulfur dyeing to achieve a rich, vintage-inspired finish. Natural fading and the unique texture develop further character as the garment is worn.
Unlike indigo dye, sulfur dyeing fades more gradually, allowing the color to mellow over time. Similar to denim, it develops a unique shade that becomes distinctly your own, offering the enjoyment of a personalized patina.
Please note: color variation may occur depending on the production period. The actual product you receive may differ slightly in color from the images shown. Thank you for your understanding.
Meticulous Detailing
Faithfully reproducing the details of 1960s baker pants, each element is carefully constructed with durable double stitching, highlighting vintage character and durability.
The front features a zip fly for easy wear, while deep, practical hand pockets enhance functionality and storage.
Flap pockets at the back round out the design—minimal in appearance, yet crafted with careful attention to detail.
An interior label indicates that this piece was made at a JAPAN BLUE JEANS partner factory.
A Silhouette That Combines Comfort and Refinement
Inspired by the early model of the French Army’s M47 cargo pants, the wide straight silhouette offers a relaxed and comfortable fit.
It balances freedom of movement with a clean, modern look, making it easy to incorporate into contemporary outfits. Rooted in classic military style, yet versatile enough for everyday wear.
