Flameguard™ Ultra Gloss is a high-performance fire rated decorative topcoat designed to deliver a durable gloss finish while achieving Class B-s1, d0 fire protection as part of a complete coating system.

Ideal for environments where both appearance and compliance matter, this coating allows you to finish fire-protected surfaces in a clean, hard-wearing gloss without compromising on safety.

When applied over Broflame™ Ultra Base Coat (timber) or Brosteel™ Ultra 60 (steel), Flameguard Ultra Gloss works to reduce flame spread and heat release, helping to provide critical escape time in the event of a fire.

Unlike traditional intumescent systems that can look industrial, this gives you a true decorative finish - perfect for public-facing environments such as schools, hospitals, offices and commercial buildings.

System Build-Up

Timber:

- Broflame Ultra Base Coat (to spec)
- Flameguard Ultra Gloss (1–2 coats)

Steel:

- Brosteel Ultra 60 (to required thickness)
- Flameguard Ultra Gloss (1–2 coats)

Surface Preparation

• Must be applied over a compatible fire protection system:
  • Broflame Ultra Base Coat (timber)
  • Brosteel Ultra 60 (steel)
• Ensure basecoat is fully cured and applied to specification
• Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from contaminants
• Do not apply directly to bare substrates

Correct system build-up is essential to achieve certified fire performance

Technical Data

Directions for Use

1. Stir thoroughly before use.
2. Confirm basecoat system has been applied correctly and is fully dry.
3. Apply by brush or roller.
4. Apply 1 full coat (2 coats may be required for colour change).
5. Allow 16 hours between coats.
6. Ensure good ventilation during application.
