Tales of the Texas Rangers told stories of high adventure in the Lone Star state. The twist was that the two stars weekly could be in a story set in another era. (One week they would be chasing rustlers on horseback and the next week's episode had them running down modern day semi-trailers in a police car). Willard Parker and Harry Lauter starred as Rangers Jace Pearson and Clay Morgan.

As a side note, Joel McCrea played the original Jace character in the radio version. The show was created, proiduced and sometimes directed by Stacy Keach,Sr. He is the father of actors Stacy Keach,Jr. and James Keach, both of whom starred in The Long Riders as Frank and Jesse James.
