Built on a concept of high-quality Japanese fabrics and a commitment to authentic craftsmanship. Originally produced for many years as a ROCOCO exclusive line of JAPAN BLUE JEANS, it relaunches in 2026 under the name “Blue refabric.”

Production centers around partner factories of JAPAN BLUE JEANS. The name combines “Blue” — representing Japanese denim — with “Refabric,” a coined word blending Republic and Fabric. Inspired by the idea of a “Blue Republic,” the brand honors Japan’s textile heritage while creating garments that bring out the individuality of the wearer.

Primarily using premium denim from Okayama, each piece is carefully crafted in trusted domestic factories. The design approach is minimal yet defined, allowing the character and texture of the fabric to stand out. From “the country of fabric, Japan” to the world—Blue refabric presents a new standard rooted in respect for Japanese textiles.

Lightweight with a refined luster
The fabric uses a light-ounce denim blended with cotton and linen. It retains the supple firmness characteristic of denim, while offering the dry touch and breathability unique to linen.

A subtle sheen further softens the ruggedness often associated with workwear, resulting in a refined look suitable for a more mature style.

With excellent moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, it remains comfortable even in warmer seasons. Beyond its appearance, the material is well-suited for spring and summer wear.







Workwear roots, updated for today
Based on a French work jacket, the design incorporates practical detailing. A classic chest pocket is placed on the left, while generously sized patch pockets at the waist provide ample functionality.







An inner pocket is positioned on the inside of the right chest, maintaining a clean exterior while offering convenient storage—thoughtfully designed for everyday use.



A label on the inside indicates it was made at a partner factory of JAPAN BLUE JEANS.





A clean silhouette shaped by three-dimensional construction
The body is constructed using a three-panel pattern—front, side, and back—creating a three-dimensional shape that follows the body’s natural lines.

The shoulders feature a split raglan design: clean and tailored from the front like a set-in sleeve, while allowing greater mobility from the back like a raglan. This balances a composed appearance with ease of movement.

Overall, it offers a comfortable amount of room without appearing bulky. Simply layering it over a T-shirt creates a well-balanced, refined look suited for everyday wear.
