Summer flowers are blooming! Come on in and make a pair of custom slab vases to display those summer blooms.

Your instructor will guide you through the techniques of basic slab-building and how to use templates to make your own unique bud vase. Once their form is finished, you will then be able to personalize your vases using underglazes and other unique surface decoration techniques.

This all-levels class is recommended for students 15 years and older. The pottery wheel will not be used in this workshop.

The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in cost, and an instructor will glaze your pieces in a clear for you.

Sam is a Washington native who has made Seattle her home since early 2022. Having recently finished a master's degree in mechanical engineering, she made the career shift to ceramics to focus more on mental health and the things that bring her joy. She has dipped her toes into many artistic hobbies over the years, but ceramics has always held a special spot as it utilizes her engineering design interests with a creative twist. Sam is in charge of gallery shows and operations, and can be found at the front desk 3 days a week! Outside of the studio, she can be found bullet journaling, binge-watching shows, or hanging with her cat, Hank.
